*sigh* I can’t believe you gave us homework…
it wasn’t an HRE mainly because it was first of all German, it definitely wasn’t an empire because it was rather a collection of feudal states, finally it wasn’t holy because no one gave a shit about the pope…the “emperors” used him as just as a symbol that god was on their side and because of the big ol’ Protestant schism thingie…
