I continue to work on this paper. And it continues to avoid being completed. And thus I find myself procrastinating.
Today’s procrastination notes: Strange Maps.
My favorites:
Patients per doctor Map of the World ,
The flawed, but fascinating Balkans Map of North America , and
Antarctica sliced differently, wherein Bangladesh gets a slice of the South Pole pie.
Also did you know that the Panama canal runs from the Northwest (Atlantic) to the Southeast (Pacific)? (No, you read that right) This is because of the curl of the Isthmus of Panama.

Dear commenter’s of this blog I have sent a reply in relation to Asif Saleh’s 34 comment on Academics jailed over student unrest thread where he accused me whithout any proper reason as he did not like my opinion which reflect in his comment (harsh tone). Unfortunately my comment was barred and admin asked Mr. Asif Saleh whether to let my comment through or not and allegedly block my IP address when I tried to send another message to admin. Where is the justice here? One can easily brand this kind of practise as tyrannical attitude by Mr. Asif saleh and rest of admin of DP UV? If HR organisation like DP do not know how to practise freedom of speech, Human rights, democracy and rule of justice then how can they expect others to practise them? Hope common sense will prevail in them. My cooment to Mr. Asif saleh is mentioned below:
“Asif
Calm Down. If someone ask for a reply in this thread where do you want me post it? Please see Borsha’s message.
You have the 110% right not to accept or dislike others opinion but can not insist other to express their views as the way you like to see them. Size of the 5 fingers of a hand are not same. If everyone posses same views as yours then it will be difficult to differentiate between good and bad.”
